Gift Box

I was amazed the other day when a kindly reader, Connie, sent me her fabric stash, as she isn't planning to sew much anymore. There are some fancy pink costume fabrics, eyelet, ribbing, jersey, crepe, twill, wool, and brown corduroy. I already have some ideas for how to use them and my 8 year old thinks I'm going to make him red plaid cape.

There was also an assortment of lace trims and vintage "snappers".

These are all really nice fabrics and I know I'll enjoy using them.
Thanks so much, Connie!

  1. Joy,
Have you ever made swimsuits for your girls? Erin found a really cute suit online but of course, it so expensive. Just wondering if you have any ideas on where to find a pattern for something like this?

Isn't that cute! I don't think it would be that hard to make but I'm having a hard time finding a pattern that might be adaptable.

Thanks for any ideas you might have. And thanks for the continual sewing inspiration!

    Love,
    Beth

  3. I am glad you received the box okay and hope you can find a use for the fabric. If you need any SNOW, I would glady give you the five foot drift that is in our driveway right now! No school for 3 days now!
